Getting started
Once you have decided how you are going to install your application, the next step is populating the database with your news releases. This is done through the administrator pages; use the web address that you have book marked for the administrator page and enter the application. If you go to the View/Modify News Releases link, you will see that there are already some example releases in your database. To remove these examples simply click on the Delete Article option. You will need to do this process for each of the releases.
There are full instructions on the administrator pages that will explain how to add news releases to your database.
Quotas
The News Release Publisher comes with the following quotas:
500 database records - one database record quota is used for news release that you add to the database
2,000 queries - one query quota is used every time you perform an action in the administrator page (e.g. editing a news release, publishing or un-publishing a news release etc) or when your customers click on the View Full article link on your public site.
The Application Quotas option on the administrator page will let you see how much quota you have left.
If you ever require more quotas these can be purchased from the following store, the sign in uses the same username and password as your application and Xara Online account:
