I want to customize the application It is possible to customize the display of this application. This customization should only be performed if you are familiar and confident with using Xara Modules. However customizing the Form Module is reasonably safe. Note: The following information is for advanced users of the Xara Module system. We cannot take any responsibility for the application failing if you modify any of the Modules that make up the application. The News Release Publisher application structure This application is made from various Xara Modules that you can find within the 'News Release Publisher' folder of your Module Store. In the Modules sub-folder there are further folders that represent each of the parts of the application. For instance in the 'Add News' folder you can find the Form Module and the Database Module (where the news releases are stored). You can edit either Module by simply clicking on them. So to customize the 'Add News' form just click on the Module and then use the online form editor to change it as required. To customize the displayed results requires the appropriate Report Modules to be customized. For example, in the 'View News List' folder there is a Module called 'News List Results which can be customized to alter the format of the news release index. For example you can alter the colors and font sizes quite easily (and this is quite safe). More advanced customization such as adding new fields into the database requires a knowledge of the Xara Module connection system. Back to introduction index
