Here
you can add new vehicles to your database. Here are some tips to consider when
adding a new record:
Make: keep this consistent with previous
entries. Website visitors will be presented with a drop-down list of available
vehicles. To keep the options concise, makes will need to be entered consistently.
Specification: this is where you can details features such as
electric windows, SRS etc. This information will only be seen by the user when
they click the 'more details' link from their search results.
Description: this is where you can write about the vehicle, its ownership,
condition etc. The description will appear on all search results within your
application, including the overview results.
Engine size, price,
mileage: these must be numbers only, no letters or punctuation. This is so
that visitors can search based upon a certain number range. For example, all
vehicles between 14000 and 16000.
Photos: you can upload three
photos, each will be thumbnailed and filed away in your module store. Photo 1
is the image that will be shown with the vehicle details when the users first
carries out a search. If they click for more details, they will be presented
with all three images as thumbnails (picture 2 being the more prominent of the
three).
Remember that as soon as you've added the vehicle, it will be in
your application and searchable by visitors to your website.
You can
go to your search form and search for the vehicle to ensure that its details look
correct. |
